Oi! “Vita in Movimento” The act of watercolor x photography | Pop-up Music Performance

Running from 16 December 2023 to 28 February 2024, the Exhibition "Vita in Movimento" organised by The Oil Street Art Space (Oi!) showcases nearly a hundred watercolour paintings and photography works created by three Hong Kong architects – Vincent Ng, Jeff Tung and William Tseng. At the invitation of the participating architects, Chamber Youth of The Hong Kong Children's Choir presented a Pop-Up Music Performance for the audience on the afternoon of 21 January.
Under the baton of conductor Vivian Ip and accompanist Alexander Wong, Chamber Youth presented three songs, including the Choral Suite: This Victoria Has No Secrets which tells the history of Hong Kong and its unique culture with individual songs Aunt Tea Time, Wing Wah Saw Sage, and Under the Lion Rock, etc. The a cappella performance created an interesting interplay with the exhibits focusing on Hong Kong's natural landscape, buildings, and people's daily lives.
The visitors wandered between the exhibition space and outdoor installations, and at the same time immersed in the mesmerising singing of Chamber Youth. The 45-minute music performance concluded with the fast-paced and lively song Everybody Rejoice from the musical The Wiz: The Super Soul Musical Wonderful Wizard of Oz, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.
