The 9th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Lawyers Sports Meet Opening Ceremony

The 9th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Lawyers Sports Meet, organized by The Law Society of Hong Kong, held its opening ceremony on 22 February at the new Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground. The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) was invited to perform at the ceremony. The event began with the Hong Kong Police Band, cyclists from Asia Penny Farthing Association, and lawyer athletes from the three regions, marching in with their flags. This was followed by a flag-raising ceremony hosted by the Civil Aid Service. Members from Junior 1E and 1I, along with Barrister SHIH Edith and the Hong Kong Police Band, led the audience in singing the national anthem. Their resounding voices echoed throughout the stadium, marking the commencement of a series of sports events.
Among the guests were Mr Andrew CHEUNG Kui-nung, The Honourable Chief Justice of Hong Kong; Mr LIU Guangyuan, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Mr CHEUNG Kwok-kwan, Deputy Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong; Ms WANG Liuyi and Ms WANG Qianyi, Olympic gold medalists in artistic swimming.
