Post-Tour Concert 2026
Date: 18/08/2026

The Hong Kong Children’s Choir (HKCC) presented its "Post-Tour Concert 2026", titled "Everything Flows", at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, 1 August. Centred on the theme "Everything Flows", the concert not only embodied the flow of melody but also celebrated life, growth, and the joy of music. Under the baton of Music Director and Principal Conductor Kathy Fok, with Corina Lin accompanying, Concert Choir brought back an exquisite selection of pieces from their concert tour in Singapore and Vietnam, revisiting key moments of their overseas exchange with local audiences.
The performance featured several Hong Kong premieres. Through Storms and Light, composed by Singaporean conductor and composer Dr. Darius Lim, conveyed a message of hope and perseverance amidst a turbulent world. Everything Flows, composed by Chu Wan-pin, winner of Best Original Film Score at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards, was performed alongside video visuals in a cinematic style to depict the endless cycle of life and nature. In addition, Corina Lin introduced two new original works: Let’s Sing Together, which blended the Singaporean folk song Rasa Sayang with the 80s hit Kowloon Hong Kong, recreating the exchange performance in Ho Chi Minh City where members incorporated the Vietnamese lyrics "Tôi yêu Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh" ("I love Ho Chi Minh City") and formed the letters "HK" in their final pose; and What Is Man?, which explored human existence through multilingual verses integrated with the melody of Amazing Grace. The programme also embraced diverse musical styles from East and West, including Canadian composer Katerina Gimon's elemental suite Elements, comprising Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, as well as We Are the World conducted by member Ivan Poon.
The concert concluded with warm applause from the audience. Members of the Board of Directors, Sponsors of HKCC Wong Chuk Hang Centre, school representatives from the HKCC Arts Experience Scheme, as well as many distinguished guests from the arts sector attended the concert to show their support. Among them were composers Alex Tam and Chu Wan‑pin, together with Yuri Ng, Choreographer of Elements. Highlights from the concert‑tour video were also screened during the event, showcasing the Concert Choir’s learning journey as well as the new‑found and enduring friendships forged during their tour of Singapore and Vietnam. Together with a rich repertoire, engaging choreography and instrumental accompaniment, the concert offered local audiences a meaningful and heart‑warming musical experience.
The concert was recorded by RTHK Radio 4 (FM Stereo 97.6-98.9 MHz and radio4.rthk.hk) and will be broadcast on 19 September (Sat) at 8pm, with a repeat airing on 25 September (Fri) at 3pm.
