Standard Chartered 160 Years in Hong Kong

Well-established in Hong Kong for 160 years, Standard Chartered held its anniversary cocktail reception on 3 December at Rosewood Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Children’s Choir was invited to perform with the Gustav Mahler Orchestra as the opening act of the event. Led by conductor Ms Vivian Ip, more than 20 members from Intermediate 3A delivered the song Below the Lion Rock. During the performance, an animation about Hong Kong’s development and transformation in the last 160 years was projected onto the backdrop, so that guests may reminisce on the historical scenes while enjoying the music and savouring the sentimental lyrics of the song.
